RESIDENCIES // NEW YORK CITY (US) & TERSNAUS (CH)
A series of experimental, hand-drawn animations with pencil on paper, created in my residency stays in New York City (2022, Atelierstipendium des Kantons Zug) and in Tersnaus (2024, Residenza).
The loops were initially inspired by the light situation in the city of New York. They are depicting the way light shines through buildings, manifesting in various, abstract shapes. Although the project is ongoing, in my second stay in Tersnaus I presented the single frames in a small exhibition and small audiovisual performance, combining the animations with recorded sounds from the nature around the village of Tersnaus.
